It's just a 50 km trip to Oberammergau. The charming town is world-famous for its facade murals, wood-carvings and the Passion Plays staged here every 10 years since 1633 when the people vowed to perform these if the town was spared from the plague. No less famous is the "Romantic Road" that leads from Würzburg to Füssen through many venerable towns and places of interest. |
